Cambodia here we come!

Aloha!

We have so much to tell! Our team will be traveling to 4 different countries for 2 months! and we will go to Cambodia!

Cambodia!

Along with another family, and two beautiful girls! We are starting to plan what are the things that we will do! And this last week they asked me to make a list of dental supplies...and our trip leader sent it just in case, we weren't sure if the base in Cambodia had a way to get things like that...but! the Lord knows what we need, and He knew we were coming to Cambodia, and they do have dental supplies!!! Praise the Lord! We are excited about the different ministries we get to be part of! Luis would love to play soccer with the kids and Young people there! and tell them about team work, forgiveness, and being loved and wanted! We are very happy with all what God is doing!

Everyday we are seeing God's heart in our lives, and learning new things! I can't keep up with the blog updates! :)

We have been learning about God's nature and character and we have experienced it too! I was writting my journal about how we have to be really careful with the money we have, and we can't spend it on fun stuff, and last friday a missionary here, Kim, gave us a note and a

Little money, and the note said "for something fun". I didn't talk to her, she hasn't read my journal, and she told me the Lord put in her heart to give us a Little for something fun! wow! those exact words! and we had fun! we had ice cream saturday night! and maclau got to have shaved ice! how good is God our Father, and how He loves Little children, and there is nothing too Little or less important to Him. We have truly seen His care, down to the very last detail for each one of us. Even Luis! he got to go fishing this past week! and caught something! he was so excited ! we can say that it is real, even before we say a Word He knows what we need, and He loves us! and if He takes care of the birds and the flowers, how much more He will take care of us. And we have seen Him! how awesome!

We are learning a lot, and we are happy to be here! Maclau is enjoying school, she is learning to listen to God, and pray for other missionaries here at the campus. And only yesterday, she came home to show me a tennis ball, she had prayed for one the night before with her dad. Because they only found tennis raquets at the "Boutique" (where there is free stuff for students and staff) they looked and looked and no ball, but brought home the tennis raquets in faith, and prayed for a tennis ball. Her face lit up when she was showing me saying "here is the ball I prayed for mom!" we are so blessed to see her faith getting strong and growing! Once a week we have a families gathering, all the families on campus with their kids! It feels so great to hang our with other moms! and see other families in the same journey! It makes me feel less crazy, and we can encourage each other!

We have had hard days in our training school, for several reasons, but one of them was the passing of one of our sisters and classmates, she died last tuesday and was a hard situation for all of us. A rollercoaster of emotions, and we have cried, we have hugged each other and get closer together. We are a family, or like hawaiian people say, we are an Ohana and we are here to grow together, hold each other and walk together in this journey. We pray next weeks will go smooth and with no more sad events like this past week.

Last saturday we went to "Turtle Beach", all our school went to spend the day! and it was a blast! we swam with turtles! and beautiful fish! the kids had lots of fun! and it was a great day to relax and enjoy one another! I'm so happy that we had the opportunity to go! we don't have a car here, so it makes it harder to go places. So we all were very thankful for this trip!

This past week I have been reminded of how God pursue us and waits for us and forgive us everytime! He formed us, and made us with care and wonder! (Psalms 139) and we will be more fullfilled when we reflect more of His character, because we bare God's image! By knowing God we will have a relationship with Him, reflect who He is to others and our lives will be missional and intentional!

A missionary was sharing that they stopped to help a car that had run out of gas in the middle of the mountains (no gas station near) and they wanted a liter of gasoline, and they said "No, we will fill up your tank" and of course the next question will be "why would you do such a thing for us?" and this missionary's response is "because the kingdom of heaven just bumped into you" Like Luke 10 says about Jesus sending the disciples "go, eat whatever they give you, heal the sick and tell them The kingdom of God is near you now" what a challenge for each of us! We bare God's image, and the bible says that our goal is to be like Jesus and in the process, we can portray God's character and show a Little glimpse of God's kingdom to people around us. And that is not just for some, but for all of us!

Our time here so far, has been amazing! we are learning a lot, we are knowing other cultures (like Korean! almost half our class is from that country) and it is such a joy to know them, to be Friends with them! Maclau has so many "aunts" and "uncles" that love to hug her and play with her!

We are so looking forward to this coming next week! We have a deadline for our outreach fees (this coming Friday!) and we are praying for our God to provide for our family, He has brought us here and He will provide exactly what we need! We are already planning activities for Cambodia, and we are so happy to have the opportunity to love them with our friendship, our skills, our hearts. Missions are God's heart, He longs to restore His people and love them and build them up! and we are so blessed to be invited to be part of that amazing work!

Keep praying for our medical school! for our family, for Maclau, for our finances, that we will be encouraged and for God to provide for our every need!

Thanks for praying for us! and for your encouragement! we miss our families, and our Friends back in Perú, but God has provided Friends and a family here, and we are thankful.
