Cambodia's Health Care System

Did you know that in 1975 a genocide happened in Cambodia, killing all the professionals, destroyed hospitals and health centers, schools and universities? They started to rebuild their country from the zero, with 80% population under 30 years and 45% were under 15 years. There were no schools or teachers, education stopped. Kids were left alone, parents died or some ran away. Only 20 doctors survived, and half of them fled to other countries. They have done amazing to overcome all the tragedy and is on the way to improvement, but they don't have enough funds to care of all Cambodian people, and their professionals are not well trained. Different teams from YWAM Kona and YWAM SHIPS Kona will be traveling to bring love, hope, basic health education, sports, bible stories and just a Little glimpse of the kingdom of God. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring love and hope to the people of Cambodia.
