A journey of miracles to Cambodia

We made it to Cambodia! We arrived on Sunday Easter! We started our trip at 6am on Friday in Kona, Hawaii and we left excited, and a Little sad to say goodbye to our home for the past 3 months. Maclau's teacher prayed with her, and off we went! A number of Little things happened during our traveling time, and the first thing was that the name of one of our teammates was spelled wrong, so she couldn't check her bags or get on the plane. The rest of us prayed for this to be solved, after a while they got the travel agent to change the letter that was wrong, and we were on our way! We were told our bags were going to go all the way to Siem Reap, Cambodia. After a long 10.5 hour flight we were in Manila, Philippines! and then we caught our third plane to Bangkok! we had to go in line for imigrations and our visas for Thailand, and our american Friends passed, our corean friend passed, and ....nope, we needed a health form, so we went back to find the health form and the officer in charge asked

us of our yellow fever cards!!! I knew I had them, I just couldn't find them! we had repacked, because they changed the weight limit a couple of days before leaving! so I had to tell him I had it I just didn't know where it was. He thought we had stayed in Manila, and after a while of bad english communication, I told him we came from Honolulu, USA and he finally said ok and stamped our forms! our team was waiting for us in the other side! it was late, we were tired and we wanted to go to our hotel to rest! we had our last flight the next morning and had to leave for the airport at 5am. The next day we were back at the airport, and after making the wrong line to get our boarding passes, we were told that our bags were in the "lost and found" in Bangkok aiport, that nobody picked them up so they were

marked as "lost", we had to run through the airport to this hidden Little place, I stayed with the girls and Emily went with a Philippino Airlines guy to look for them. We had to get them and and check our bags in less tthan 30 minutes! Emily (our outreach leader) made it back with the bags! but we were missing a silver one, but we had no time, we checked the bags and run through the airport to catch our flight! The girls played tagged Emily so they could ran and have fun! I looked at the board and it said "Siem Reap...last call" in red! We all got into the plane, and they closed the airplane door! ufff !!!! we barely made it! After a 30 minute flight we were in Cambodia! and our silver bag was there!God is good! and faithful! we got on our taxis and we were on our way to Battambang! We were all good, we had all the bags, I left my pone on the last plane and I got it just before they closed the airplane door! but it was all good! We made it!

Maria Claudia has been an awesome flyer! she has slept, she ate! (they served fish on the long flight for dinner! she was so happy!) and she has enjoyed so much the rides, planes, airports, and the waiting. And through it all, we have seen the gentle hand of our God, taking care of our things, our forms, our visas, our lugagge and our kids. We arrived in our guest

house on Easter sunday! We brought some eggs and we had a easter eggs hunt with the girls and a local girl and the rest of the guests! the girls shared their eggs saying happy easter to everyone! they were so surprised! it was such a joy to celebrate Jesus with our girls and share the joy all around us! We are happy to be here, it is hot (very very hot) but we are excited to see what the Lord has for us, what are His plans and how we can show His love and compassion to the people in Cambodia. Keep us in your prayers, we know we are here to shine light where there is darkness, pray for protection over all of us, especially our girls. thanks for covering us with your prayers!
